Programs
The City has Canoe/Kayak Racks that are located at Sand Point Beach that are available to be reserved for the summer. The season runs from May 1st to October 15th.
No watercraft may exceed the following dimensions: 20 feet in length, 36 inches in width and 20 inches in depth. It is mandatory that your craft be secured by your own device to the assigned rack at BOTH the front and the rear.
Rack location assignments are made in order of registration, filling from the bottom racks to the top. Top rack is 72” off the ground.

You will receive an email with your specific rack assignment number before May 1st. Rental Season is May 1- October 15th.
Any watercraft 10ft or less do not need registration numbers according to the MN DNR.
Sand Point Beach charges a parking fee applicable to all park users including rental groups. The Sand Point Beach Park Parking Lot has limited parking and is for vehicles only (vehicles with trailers not permitted). Parking is available on a first come first serve basis for all park users with a per vehicle parking fee charged daily. The $6 daily fee can be paid by credit card only (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) at the parking meter located in the parking lot. Annual passes are also available at the meter, $60/vehicle.
