Fall Stargazing in Lakefront Park

Join local legend Mike Lynch and make the stars your old friends as we watch the great celestial show in the skies over Lakefront Park! Get to know the constellations, like The Big Bear, Orion the Hunter, and Gemini the Twins, and some of the great stories behind them.

Mike Lynch is a retired meteorologist from WCCO Radio and has been hosting star watch parties and teaching astronomy for over 50 years. He also writes a weekly stargazing column for the St. Paul Pioneer Press and is the author of the book “Stars, a Month-by-Month Tour of the Constellations,” which’ll be available for purchase. Super cool glow-in-the-dark star shirts will also be available, along with some of Mike Lynch’s astrophotography. Even if it’s cloudy you’ll learn a lot and have a great time!

Note:

Dress for the weather and bring any water or snacks for yourself.

Meet your instructor Mike Lynch at the Lakefront Pavilion.
