Note:

The bay at Watzl’s Beach can become shallow and encumbered with weeds; the City recommends those with Jet Boats do not rent a seasonal slip. Due to anticipated possible low-water conditions for the 2024 season, if the City deems the boat slips unusable for a permit-holder, a pro-rated or full refund may be issued minus a $100 processing and administrative fee. Boat slip conditions will be assessed in the spring of 2024 when the slips are installed and permits holders will receive updates when the slips are available.

Slips are required to be vacated between 10:00am and 11:00pm on July 4 to facilitate the setup and launching of fireworks from Watzl’s Beach.

Vehicles must be removed from City parking lots by 10 pm. Overnight parking is not allowed.

Parking lots at Lakefront Park are the closest public parking to Watzl’s Beach. The beach is approximately 0.25 mile from the parking lot area. Please note that during Lakefront Music Fest (July 12 and 13), parking is not available at Lakefront Park. Watzl’s Beach will still be accessible during the event.

Season Length: Seasonal boat slips will be available each spring after the boat slips are installed. This installation will take place as staff time and weather conditions allow after complete ice out. Renters will be notified by email when slip use is available.

All watercraft in the boat slips must be removed from the water by October 13, 2024. A charge of $100.00 per day will be assessed for each day the boat is in violation of the October removal date.

NOTE: The insurance policy holder name and address must match the application.
